Went repelling in the Blue Mountains for our last day. Tomorrow we head off back to the homesteads in which we all came from. I love the thrill that has come along with this trip. We spent our last night at the bar soaking up each others company. I have to say, leaving the next day was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do but it’s just the start of my traveling life. :)

Sydney Opera House. Sydney, NSW, Australia.

Sydney harbor cruise to watch the sunset over the Opera House and the Harbour bridge. Cocktails were prepared for us when we arrived on the boat and we had our own little cabin :) The opera house is beautiful and made of tiles from Switzerland. 6 of those tiles were free because of a “buy 10000 get 6 free” sale. It also had to be built twice because it sank the first time. It also has super terrible acoustics and it sucks to perform here but people do it because it’s such an icon! Such an incredible place to be and so absolutely beautiful.

Next up was Byron Bay, the place I left my heart. This small hippie town was absolutely amazing. I was convinced that all I had to do was lose my passport and I could stay there forever! Even though we were only there for two days and one night, I had the most amazing experience here. We walked barefoot everywhere, learned to surf (also a lot harder than it looks), and went sea kayaking with dolphins! I am sure that one day I will return here and spend some amount of time living in this wonderful town. x

Fraser Island, Australia. Largest sand island in the world. Spent two days here exploring the various ecosystems, hiking the rocks, and watching the sharks, dolphins, and whales from a distance. This was an incredibly beautiful place. We visited the Maheno Ship Wreck and swam in a creek that led straight into the ocean. Except there is no going into the ocean because this place is a breeding ground for bull sharks!

Next stop was Airlie beach where we ocean rafted out to the Great Barrier Reef again, snorkeled for a bit, and made our way over to the Whitsunday islands, location of the whitest sand in the world. The crew put together a lunch for us and we had our own little picnic on this beautiful island. We were only here for a day but it was absolutely stunning! Next stop, Fraser Island!

We spent five days in Cairns which we spent exploring the Great Barrier Reef as well as all of the Bars that Australia had to offer. We went snorkeling and scuba diving in the beautiful waters and saw hundreds of incredible animals.

The night life was pretty intense within this town and so we spent most every night exploring a new bar and stumbling our way home later that night. The only bad thing is we would have to get up early the next day to go do some amazing thing like White Water Rafting the tully river and bungie jumping.

Leaving here didn’t prove to be the easiest thing either, we fell in love with this crazy lifestyle but it was time to move to our next stop.
